MacOS arm binaries

Post by dom »

From today, the nightly builds kits for MacOS should contain fat binaries with both x86_64 and arm64 architectures.

If anyone has access to an M1 Mac some feedback on whether they work or not would be appreciated.

Codesigning is being worked on.

I'm now using z88dk on an M1 Mac (previously been using z88dk on an Intel Mac). Happy to confirm that it's working as expected. I just downloaded and installed the latest nightly for osx.

I'll add details here if I have any trouble.

Code signing would be much appreciated, although that's not a showstopper, it's just a pita to 'allow' all the tools. (Remember when computing used to be fun?!)

Grateful thanks to everyone involved in this project (I use it to target RC2014 (CPM) and Speccy)

That's great to know that they work.

The binaries are actually signed, but it turns out that they actually need to be notarised as well to banish the warning and I don't think there's a way to do it from Linux yet.
