I think I crashed the forums again with a post edit. Honestly I’m scared to death of editing forum posts as it will quite often crash. I wonder if there are any forum sw updates that might fix the problem?

I've had an alternative software base for the forum on standby for a year or so, the last trial run I had of it was over Christmas and it seemed to work ok and will also handle the mailing lists (including commits) without falling over.

If there are no objections I'll switch over to it at some point when it's quiet and we'll see how it goes.
