The Clarified Artistic License Preamble The intent of this document is to state the conditions under which a Package may be copied, such that the Copyright Holder maintains some semblance of artistic control over the development of the package, while giving the users of the package the right to use and distribute the Package in a more-or-less customary fashion, plus the right to make reasonable modifications. The basic intention of my (dom) choice of this licence (and hence my interpretation of it) was as follows:
1. Any modifications to z88dk eg in the form of new targets, toolchain improvements, bug fixes, extra functionality etc should be fed back to the project so that every user can benefit.
2. You can use the compiler to generate products which are sold commercially/distributed for profit.
3. We totally indemnify ourselves against any damage caused by deployment of the kit, or any product generated by the kit. We don't guarantee that the software is fit for (any) purpose in anyway whatsoever. Caveat emptor (as it were).
